#17 Laura E
My daughter recently turned 3 and that has opened up a whole new world for her. So many toys for fun and learning all have that “Age 3 and up” written all over it. It’s an exciting time. 🙂 Extra exciting really because she now has her own “computer” thanks to VTech. She now loves to sit next to Mommy and play on her computer while Mommy blogs away….too cute.
What “computer” am I talking about? Her brand new MobiGoTouch Learning System from VTech.
The Mobigo Touch Learning System has touch screen technology which allows kids to learn many of the things we as parents use with our computers/smartphones. They can tap the screen, drag, and so much more. And yes, it comes in two different colors combinations!
There are many interactive games that teach basic school skills like math, spelling, vocabulary, and problem solving.
Here’s what’s included:
- MobigGo Touch Learning System
- Game Cartridge
- User Manual
- USB Cable
Free Down-loadable Games on their website as well…just use the USB cable!
My daughter seriously thinks she’s a big kid now that she has the MobiGo, but I’m actually impressed with how easily she has adapted to it. It took her just one day to figure out all the buttons and what they meant. Who knew? Ours came with a Touch & Learn Game Pack Cartridge which features 6 games with either “easy” or “difficult” levels. She thinks they are all “fun” games right now, but all of them are educational in nature. 🙂
From the squirrel game which forces her to draw shapes correctly by dragging her finger on the screen………….. to the animal game which makes her choose which animal is different. Problem solving is required for the penguin game, where you drag icebergs so that the penguin can get to his food. This one is challenging for her, but she’s already progressed. There are alphabet and counting and sequence games too………it’s perfect for her.
As a parent, I love the features such as the volume control and the hidden keyboard. And the keyboard buttons are the perfect size for a child….that was impressive. I can’t wait to try this out on a road trip or airplane. I can’t even imagine how helpful it will be to pass the time.
There is an ever-growing collection of educational software to go right along with the MobiGo featuring favorite characters from Toy Story 3, Disney Princesses and more. Many are on sale for at least 25% off right now. I am sure there will be a couple of these under the Christmas Tree this year.
