I cannot even believe I’m sitting here typing these words…Back.To.School.
July 4th weekend has come to an end, and there’s no denying it any longer. It’s time to start planning, preparing, shopping and getting organized. I’ll be honest, I get a lot of my organizing help from Ziploc® brand and that’s why I’m sharing with you the Top 4 Ways We Take Ziploc® brand Back To School. After all, we moms have to stick together!
While so many of us use Ziploc® brand in the hustle and bustle of lunchtime prep, I’m going to talk about all the other ways I’ve used Ziploc® brand Bags. With storage bags in every shape and size (okay, maybe only a few shapes, but tons of sizes), it’s no wonder they are my go-to solution for many needs.
TRUTH: I would be LOST without Ziploc® brand during the school year.
Tell me I’m not the only one!
Let’s talk about the littlest of our kiddos. I remember when my 5 year old went off to kindergarten. She was fully potty trained, but I had this fear that she would have an accident at school. After all, she hadn’t gone to preschool (Mommy homeschooled preschool – do you call it that?), so she was used to running off to the bathroom whenever she needed.
Apparently having an accident in kindergarten is a real concern. My fear was justified when her teacher recommended all parents pack an extra set of weather-appropriate clothes and underwear to have in the backpack at all times.
Ziploc® brand to the rescue!
Funny thing is, now that my daughter is older, there have been other times we’ve needed to add an extra pair of clothes and socks in her backpack. Just in case. Times like Field Day. You just never know. Ziploc® brand Slider Storage Bags with Easy Open Tabs® in the gallon size are my pick for clothing.
I’ve been so surprised at how many field trips my daughter has taken over the years. From nature excursions to days at the symphony where dressing up is mandatory, they are always fun and educational.
One thing I learned early on, field trips require disposable lunch items. That means no lunchbox, no thermos containers or non-disposable containers of any kind.
When I think back to my childhood field trips, I remember paper sacks. I remember my daughter’s first kindergarten field trip. It was a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo, and I volunteered to be one of the parent chaperones. I went ahead and carried her paper sack lunch with me.
You know how this story ends, don’t you? Yes – IT RIPPED! Ever since then, I’ve packed my daughter’s field trip lunches in a Ziploc® brand Slider Storage Bags – gallon size! I’ll have small and loose things like blueberries packed away in Ziploc® brand Sandwich Bags or Snack Bags, along with a small disposable water bottle, all contained within the big gallon bag.
Field trips without the worry, thanks to Ziploc® brand.
Of all my Ziploc® brand tips, this is perhaps the most important. It’s the way I rely on Ziploc® brand products most…to protect my daughter’s asthma medication from germs.
My daughter has suffered from asthma for several years. Unfortunately she gets that from me. While she hasn’t shown any symptoms in quite a while, I don’t want to take any chances. She needs to have her medication with her at all times, either with the school nurse or in her backpack.
Since she is a child, it helps for her to use a special chamber to help her breathe the asthma medication in. We use Ziploc® brand Slider Storage Bags to store and transport her medication and chamber too. I like the ease of the Ziploc® brand Slider Bags because of how quickly she can get in and access her medication.
I can rest a bit easier while she is away from me when I know her medication is close by.
I’m so glad elementary schools these days carve out some time in their day for snacks. It wasn’t always like this.
I’ll be honest. I haven’t always remembered to pack the extra snack. Some days it’s all I can do to get something edible into her lunchbox and quickly get her off to school. Ever have those days? You know, the days when the alarm clock doesn’t exactly go off (or you accidentally hit snooze)? Because of days like that, I now do a little snack time prep.
Our school has snack time rules. With the limitations, it’s just easier to have the same thing just about everyday. That makes snack time prep easy. It’s made even easier with Ziploc® brand Snack Bags.
Every Sunday night, I get the weeks worth of snacks ready. It’s just grab and go the morning of. The Easy Open Tabs® make it super easy for even the youngest of kids to open them. Perfect for the classroom.
I’ve found all my Ziploc® brand products at our local Kroger store! Available in freezer, storage, sandwich and snack varieties, Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs® can store everything from fruits and meat to crafts and school supplies.
