December is here and my friends from Taste of Home have just what we need, not only for the holiday season, but the entire year! Let me introduce you to their new cookbook, Taste of Home: 365 Days of Cookies.
Not only did I receive a complementary cookbook, but one of my lucky readers will get one too (see giveaway below)! Note: This post contains an affiliate link.
December 4th was National Cookie Day!
I had no idea. Though the day came and went without a single cookie (GASP!), I must say that there are few people in my family who are “cookie monsters”. One adores snickerdoodles. Another loves Grandma’s pumpkin cookies straight from the oven. And yet another I dare say wouldn’t turn down a cookie if her life depended on it.
Taste of Home: 365 Days of Cookies Cookbook
Though we all have our favorites, when it comes to cookies, I love to try out new recipes. So when the Taste of Home: 365 Days of Cookies arrived on my doorstep, I was in love. Page after page of sweet goodness!
This new book features hundreds of full-color photos and offers after-school snacks, coffee-break bites, classroom treats, bake-sale favorites and holiday delights that are perfect throughout the year.
You’ll even find cookies that celebrate crazy days on the calendar like:
- World Nutella Day (February 5)
- National Potato Chip Day (March 14)
- Jelly Bean Day (April 22)
- National French Toast Day (November 28)
To help out in the kitchen, I love that the cookbook begins with Cookie-Baking Basics, Storing Cookies & Bars, and Problem-Solving Pointers. Seriously loving the advice they give for problems I have had, like when my cookies don’t spread too much (or they spread too much).
There’s also a special Christmas- Cookies bonus chapter makes this cookbook a gem!
Dare I say this could be the perfect gift to give the baker in your life (or the wannabe baker)! This is the only cookies cookbook you’ll ever need!
