Last night I was watching as WFAA reported on the dangers of radon in our homes.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), radon kills as many as 20,000 Americans each year through lung cancer.
You know how you hear about all those lung cancer victims who never smoked a day in their life? Well, radon can be a silent culprit. Ugh! It’s odorless too.
No matter when your home was built, you should test for radon.
It couldn’t be easier, in fact the test costs only around $10.
BUT, if you live in Texas, while supplies last, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is offering free short-term radon test kits to encourage more Texans to test their homes for radon.
You might just save a life of someone you love.
