The holidays are just around the corner. Are you prepared? Probably not, and don’t worry, you aren’t the only one who hasn’t started making a list and checking it twice. Thanks to Best Buy sponsoring this post, I was reminded to start thinking about the holidays in more ways than one. I was reminded of all the reasons to stream entertainment during the holidays.
Holiday entertainment. There’s nothing better. The songs. The music. The dancing. The movies. The holiday marathons that can keep me watching one of my favorite shows over and over. I love every minute of it and I bet I’m not the only one.
So especially this time of year it’s great be reminded just how important streaming is to so many of us (and make sure we have the best gadgets to help us do just that, like the Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player – more on that later)!
Reasons to Stream Entertainment During the Holidays
See if you agree…
So the Kids (or YOU) Won’t Miss Favorite Holidays TV Shows
As a mom, there are more than a few things which are mandatory during the holidays. One of my favorites – watching some of my most loved Christmas classics. From Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to A Christmas Story and from White Christmas to the more recent Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. And if I don’t watch The Year Without a Santa Claus, it’s like Christmas didn’t happen.
What if you are visiting the grandparents? What if you don’t “own” all those classic holiday movies on DVD or Blu-Ray? No worries. Streaming is an answer! Watch movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, and photos streaming on your TV from all of your family’s devices.
The kids won’t miss a new favorite, even if doesn’t measure up to the beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Listen to Christmas Music
One of my favorite Christmas songs of all time is O Holy Night. Truth be told, I love a wide variety of songs this time of year, from the hilarious Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer to Frank Sinatra’s crooning of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
Enjoy access to huge libraries of holiday music, stream it, and sing along!
Entertain the Kids (and YOU) While Holiday Traveling
Imagine being stuck in an airport during a snowstorm. Or stuck next to your brother during an eight hour car ride. Traveling during the holidays can be stressful and it’s best to be prepared. Thankfully these days we can stream a variety of media (games, football, tv shows, movies, etc) to help everyone keep their sanity and pass the time.
If you have data or wifi while traveling, streaming is a must.
Yes, saving money is so important this time of year. You can actually save money by cutting the cord to cable and streaming your entertainment with Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player.
It’s like upgrading your TV for less since you completely expand your home entertainment. Plus, Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player is so affordable (don’t believe me, take a look at this price), that you could get one for every television in the house). That makes it an ideal Christmas gift or stocking stuffer!
It couldn’t be easier to use:
- Stream from your phone to TV.
- Plug Chromecast into the HDMI port on your TV and to power and stream your favorite entertainment right from your phone with just a tap. Watch shows, listen to playlists, and more.
- Compatible with your existing HDTV
- Best of all, while streaming, you can still use your phone as you normally do.
Fun Fact: You can start streaming with just your voice. Just say what you want to watch from compatible apps and control your TV hands-free, with Chromecast and Google Home working seamlessly together.²
