I bought my daughter’s winter jacket 2 years ago from Old Navy….bright pink and white (easier to spot her in). Or so I thought. It seemed as if every time I saw a little girl, she would be wearing an identical jacket. Moms all shopping at the same store, no doubt. I imagined how crazy it would have been had she been in school at the time……with her likely grabbing someone else’s coat by mistake (or someone else, her’s).

Now that I’m feeling kindergarten approaching (okay, it’s not until next year, but I FEEL it), I’m sooo glad there’s a solution to this jacket problem.

Now, I might be showing my age here, but I remember my Grandma sewing some labels in my clothes when I was a child.  So, I thought maybe this might require my breaking out a needle and thread, but Mabel’s Labels couldn’t be easier.  Most of them just stick on – and stay on!

  21. It seems everytime I turn around my son has lost a blanket at daycare. The jackets disappear quite frequently too!

  42. My son always looses his hoodies, coats, and lunch bags.
    My daughter has misplaced her backpack a couple times. Panic time.
    I could sure use a labeler or label maker for sure. I have lost my lunch bag at work also. LOL

  70. When I was in Kindergarten my mom put real gold earrings on my little ears because they would become inflamed if it was anything else, and I would always lost them at school!! My teacher called my mom so many times throughout the year after she had found them in the classroom.

  104. I have two daughters and they are constantly loosing things at school/daycare. These labels would be so awesome! That way when going through the lost and found I don’t need to “think” if it is theirs.

    In school, we are CONSTANTLY losing things. And by losing, I mean left behind on the bus, at recess, etc. It drives me nuts!

  121. My daughter forgot her jacket at preschool last year, but luckily it was returned to us. I haven’t lost anything that I can remember.

  126. Don’t ask me how this happens…but my son lost a SOCK at childcare! I knew our laundry machine ate them, but at some point, it got lost during nap time. We have also lost multiple reusable lunch containers. I think with these labels, we wouldn’t have such problems!

I’ve always lost things while I was in school, but now I tend to forget, lose, or leave important things behind such as my cell phone, wallet, or recently, one of my material go green grocery bags right at the store! lol, I remembered it while driving away though!   140. I lost a ton of things as a child at school. The latest thing my child has lost is her little sun hat on a walk. It just fell out at the hotel and unfortunately did not end up in their lost and found 🙁

  153. My son is constantly losing his coats and sweatshirts at school. I have to check the lost and found every month.

  155. I never thought it was possible to lose a shoe but my four-year-old managed to do just that while we were walking in the mall. Two hours later, we backtracked through every store and restroom and asked guest services if they had a lost and found box. We never found my daughter’s missing shoe but saw tons of kids items ranging from socks to sippy cups. Interestingly, nothing was labeled.

  177. It seems that Winter is always the time of year that things get misplaced or lost. Especially with all the extras we wear. Hats, gloves, etc..
    I have used Markers to at least place the kids Initials inside to try & help.
    These labels would be neater and more visible i’m sure!! Would love to try them out!

  192. My son is at a day camp this week. So far, in 2 days, he has lost his lunch bag with drink box, goggles, and jacket. But, we got them back thanks to me labeling them with Mabel’s labels! I need a new set now for my 4 year old daughter who is starting kindergarten this fall.
