When you think of Bumble Bee Foods, chances are you immediately think of a delicious recipe which includes tuna, salmon, crabmeat or other seafood. I know I do. I grew up eating tuna…..and oh I miss my mom’s cooking! Somehow I never seem to get the recipe just right. 🙂
But when I think of Bumble Bee Foods, I also think of Bee Well for Life.
Created by Bumble Bee Foods, Bee Well for Life is an online health and wellness community. Along with Tools, Recipes, and Great Tips, you’ll also find that the Bee Well for Life does something else……it allows you to be involved in more ways than one.
- Personally giving you tools to help you live a healthy life
- Giving you an incentive to be active
Yes, for every mile you walk/run/cycle, they will donate $.10/mile split among:
- American Diabetes Association®
- WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease
- Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization™
These three are the picks through the end of February.
Starting in early March, you will have new opportunities to earn points by completing challenges, logging calories, and selecting the cause that should benefit.
Bumble Bee Foods has already given $50,000 to each cause, and you can earn up to $150,000 more in 2012.
Exciting new fitness tools are on the way…….. Facebook and iPhone applications will be under construction.
Many of us already walk, run, or cycle………..let’s take that extra step and log/report it so that these important causes can benefit.
It’s personal to me! I lost my mom….and she was personally impacted by the three diseases mentioned above.
- She was a diabetic
- She had breast cancer
- She went into cardiac arrest during chemotherapy…..and we lost her.
I’m thankful to Bumble Bee Foods for this amazing program, and encourage all of you to visit and register your miles at Bee Well for Life!
It doesn’t cost you a thing…..only some exercise!
