Best Boxes (Subscription, etc.)
Whether for a one time purchase or a subscription, boxes are all the rage right now. And whether you want to enjoy a box yourself or know exactly who would love to receive one for a holiday gift, I’ve selected a few box options you just might fall in love with. Subscribe…go ahead! 🙂
Knowledge Crate
Knowledge Crates are seasonal boxes for preschool and school aged children, packed full of activities ranging from art and literacy to science and math. And if that’s not exciting enough, they also include all the materials you need so there’s no guesswork or “extra work” for parents. LOVE that.
Right now there are a few different box options:
- Preschool (Quarterly Subscription Crate, Fall Crate, and Annual Crate)
- School Age (Quarterly Subscription Crate, Fall Crate, and Annual Crate)
Mini Crates – A No-Subscription Option!
There’s another option you might want to take advantage of with no strings attached, making them fun options for holiday gifts – Mini Crates. These are offered without a subscription and available for one-time purchases. Great options to send nieces and nephews for Christmas.
Mini Crates are also perfect for on the go activities, trips, or weekends with grandparents. Or maybe you just want to try Knowledge Crates out before subscribing. They are always full of screen-free educational activities and seem to always include a children’s book.
I spy Mini Crates reasonably priced at $39.99 each and with categories like Dinosaurs, Space, Unicorns, Safari, Pirates, or holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Weathered Wood Home
Weathered Wood Home got its start when a stay-at-home mom discovered and fell in love with woodworking as a creative outlet. I love Lindsey’s story and think of how I “fell” into blogging the same way – I needed an outlet.
Lindsey began making handmade wooden frames in her garage and the business eventually expanded to a brick-and-mortar boutique.
Fun Fact: These reclaimed wood frames have been photographed in multiple magazines, blogs, and the book “Cozy White Cottage.”
You can find Lindsey in Council Grove, Kansas where she currently runs her boutique and Airbnb in a historic 1887 building that they recently restored.
The Reclaim Box – Since most of us won’t find our way to that small town, though on my next road trip to Kansas I might have to swing by, she created The Reclaim Box. The box was her way of sharing her boutique with everyone around the country.
The Reclaim Box is a surprise box which contains 6 full-sized, quality products and promotes a highlighted Artisan and their handmade item in each box. Items are curated around a theme of what women can ‘reclaim’ for the season, but the fun doesn’t stop there. You’ll discover weekly email inspiration and creative ideas with how to use the products.
Boxes are offered as a either a quarterly subscription or one-time purchase.
Tip: Head on over quick as I spy a few limited non-box items in her shop!
Double Tip: Sign up to be a VIP and get 15% off your first purchase.

Hygge In A Box
Hygge in a Box is a seasonal wellness and lifestyle subscription box curated by hygge enthusiasts to inspire moments of calm into our lives.
But wait a second…what is Hygge? And how do you pronounce it?
Hygge [hue-gah] originates from Denmark and essentially translates to an atmosphere of warmth, wellbeing, and coziness.  But it’s so much more than that; it’s an ethos, an intentional lifestyle, and a way of thinking. Hygge is about feeling safe and connected. It is created when you feel at peace and can enjoy simple pleasures in life while being in the moment.
They hand-select products which are mostly made in Canada, fair trade, organic, natural, and/or those made with sustainability in mind.
It is clear that they take their boxes seriously and consider each unboxing of a Hygge in a Box an unforgettable experience. They take pride in the details, everything from the tissue paper to the presentation of products inside.
Hygge in a Box arrives with 7-8 full size premium products for the body, mind, soul, and home. You have the option of making a one-time purchase (they do not auto renew) or enjoying a quarterly subscription.
Take note that their are two different Hygge Holiday Boxes with an important cut-off shipping date of November 15, 2021. Right now, Hygge in a Box ships in both Canada and the United States.
What am I interested in? I’m looking at the two different International Hygge Day Boxes – they sound perfect for this traveler!
