Christmas in America Complimentary product or service provided Affiliate Link in Post

We have an arsenal of Christmas books in our home. I have the entire collection from when I was a child and now we’ve added to that with current books for my daughter. But there’s one book in particular I’m proud that we’ve added this year…..

I’m talking about Christmas in America (Ellis the Elephant) by Callista Gingrich.

This is the fifth book in Callista Gingrich’s New York Times bestselling series and this one has to do with Christmas. Ellis discovers the meaning of Christmas and learns how this special holiday has been celebrated throughout American history.

While the illustrations are enough to capture any child’s attention and imagination, it’s the words and lessons within which will actually teach our children something. Fun and educational – my 2 favorite things combined!

Truth be told, even I learned a thing or two that I hadn’t known before. Love that!

In Christmas in America, the fifth in Callista Gingrich’s New York Times bestselling children’s series, Ellis discovers the meaning of Christmas and learns how this cherished holiday has been celebrated in America for more than four hundred years!

Join Ellis as he travels back in time and experiences Christmas in America with:

Colonists in Williamsburg, Virginia
George and Martha Washington at Mount Vernon
Andrew Jackson at the White House
Civil War soldiers on the battlefield
Calvin Coolidge as he lights the first national Christmas tree
Apollo 8 astronauts as they orbit the moon

My favorite part of all is the resource in the back of the book. Several pages are devoted to each topic covered in the book. Kids and parents alike can read a paragraph further on events like the First National Christmas Tree or the Battle of the Bulge (WWII), which described a scene eerily familiar to one my grandfather experienced while in Germany.

Christmas in America children’s book is perfect book for homeschoolers, teachers and parents alike who want to add a fun but educational book to their collection!

SHOP: Christmas in America (Ellis the Elephant)

I haven’t yet but will be checking out the other books in this series:

  • Sweet Land of Liberty (Ellis the Elephant)
  • Land of the Pilgrims Pride (Ellis the Elephant)
  • Yankee Doodle Dandy (Ellis the Elephant)
  • From Sea to Shining Sea (Ellis the Elephant)

Now for some extra fun……..
