A huge thank you to Sunshine Glaze for hosting this bloggers night out event. While complimentary studio fee and supplies were provided, I did pay for my child’s.

Lately I’ve been making it a point to enjoy a bit of grown up time. It’s not something that comes easily to me, so I’m being intentional and planning things on the calendar. One such planned event happened recently at Sunshine Glaze Pottery Studio, located in Southlake, Texas, here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.
It’s such a great location, located just on the outskirts of Southlake Town Center, an outdoor shopping area featuring some of the best restaurants and boutique shops around.
A night devoted to crafts was just this mommy needed, though due to a last minute change, I actually had to bring my 6-year old along with me. But no worries, she is just as into crafts as I am and quite well-behaved in a group setting.
On the agenda – Mosaics!
This was something I had never done before and was really looking forward to it. Each blogger picked out a letter. I chose “M” for my last name. I soon discovered that I had the largest letter to fill up with glass tiles. 🙂
The hardest part for me – choosing the color palette!
Larger pieces of glass tiles were “cut” if necessary. I liked having different shapes and sizes for added personality. I applied each piece with special glue. That’s it!
You have to wait 24 hours before adding the grout, if you desire. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
I will be heading back to Sunshine Glaze in the future for some more fun with both adults and kids! Kids summer camps are even going on now!
Oh, and just a side note. They are an amazing location for birthday parties. While I paid for this completely myself, we actually hosted our daughter’s birthday party last year there!
Be to check out my Painting Themed Birthday Party complete with painted cakes and more! 🙂
