Tonight we had what I considered to be a rare treat……dinner at home. Not that it’s all that unusual, but it’s just that we’ve been running around lately and enjoying the summer, family and all that comes with it.
While I wanted a home-cooked meal, tonight I just needed it to be quick and easy.
Deadlines. Deadlines. Deadlines.
So, I turned to Kraft Recipe Makers to save a bit of time.
The result – a happy family. 🙂
Kraft Recipe Makers are a brand new item, so it might take a few minutes to figure out where your local Safeway (or Safeway affiliate) store has them.
Not sure if your store is a Safeway affiliate?
- VONS
- Pavilions
- Randall’s
- Tom Thumb
- Carrs
- Dominick’s
Here in Dallas/Ft Worth, our Safeway affiliate is Tom Thumb, and that’s exactly where I headed to find this new product.
It wasn’t easy, but with the help of some wonderful store associates, I was able to find Kraft Recipe Makers next to the sauces and potatoes. Some stores might put it next to the meal starters (like Campbell’s Skillet Sauces, Progresso Recipe Starters, Safeway Simmer Sauces). Others have said they put them in the meat department shelved on racks on or near the refrigerated meat coolers.
Either way, once you find them in your local store, you’ll know exactly where to find them again. Oh, and you WILL want to purchase them again. 🙂
Kraft Recipe Makers are available in many different varieties:
- Chicken Bruschetta Pasta
- New England Pot Roast
- Hickory BBQ Beef
- Tex-Mex Chicken Fajita
- Three Cheese Chicken Florentine
- Sweet & Sour Chicken
- Verde Chicken Enchilada
- Asian Fish Tacos
- Chicken Cacciatore
Kraft Recipe Makers are combinations of two savory sauces. You just add your fresh ingredients (protein, veggies, etc) and then combine to make one of three fabulous dishes.
I loved this! While I chose the Chicken Bruschetta Pasta Recipe Maker in the store, I quickly learned that there were recipes for 2 other dishes inside the box:
- Bruschetta Style Pork Chops
- Shrimp Puttanesca
Brilliant! One box – three different recipes you can choose among, based on what you have on hand in the refrigerator.
Because of all this, Recipe Makers couldn’t be easier! Here’s what I did, step by step (while boiling the pasta):
You put in the sauces at two different times. The recipes are so easy to follow!
Tonight, I preferred to eat the pasta with just the Basil Garlic sauce, while the rest of my family opted for the full deal.
No leftovers – ENOUGH SAID!

This look pretty yummy! something new I can try for the family.
I always wonder about these pre-packaged things-if they will taste good. Thanks for the review!
Easy peasy and it looks delicious!!
Oooh, that looks good! And easy. I’ve been meal planning, this looks like something easy that I could handle.
We tried the pot roast version but I have to try this one as well … it looks delicious!
That looks absolutely delicious… and easy! It’s also nice to see that they have a wide range of flavors to choose from.
