Thanks to the Disney Parks Blog for releasing this top secret recipe for the Disney Beignets recipe!
Whether you are strolling through New Orleans Square at Disneyland, enjoying a vacation at Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, or sailing the seas aboard the Disney Wonder (yes, they have Tiana’s restaurant there), chances are you have tasted one of Disney’s best known treats. And I know all about magical treats. In fact, I recently posted about the Must Try Disney World Treats IN the Parks.
So let’s bring home the magic right now and get in the kitchen to make these and other Disney released recipes (I love that they are releasing so many this month while we are self-isolating).

Disney Beignets Ingredients Needed
1/2 teaspoon dry yeast – this can be hard to find in stores right now, but found it online
1/4 cup warm water (105°)
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 egg
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup boiling water
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar
Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutters
While the Disney Cruise Line provides regular square shaped beignets onboard in Tiana’s restaurant, you might want Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets like you see in the parks. Here are some we enjoyed during a special event where they used an edible gold pixie dust of some sort instead of powdered sugar on top. So fun!
In that case, if you don’t already have a cookie cutter, make sure to grab one that is a little bigger than the others. I have this Mickey Mouse cookie cutter, but there are plenty others you’ll find over there to buy.
Now head on over to the Disney Parks Blog for the full recipe and directions.

Frying foods makes me SO anxious but I would totally put that aside to make these beignets!
