We are in full craft mode. Good thing mama loves to do these things…..I find them therapeutic.
It’s Teacher’s Appreciation Week, and we’ve decided to do something simple, creative, yet inexpensive.
A Custom Teacher’s Plaque.
Items Needed:
- Slate Plaque (Many sizes are available at local hobby store. Ours was from Michael’s for right around $2.00.)
- Multi-Surface Acrylic Craft Paint (We used Martha Stewart Crafts paints from Michael’s). Colors: Surf (Satin), Green Olive (Satin), and Garnet (Glitter)
- Paintbrush and Pencil
Lightly outline the image you’d like, whether it be the teacher’s name or an object. The pencil marks will be covered up by the paint.
Follow with paints. Decorate as desired.
We’ve got a bit more work to do tonight…..I’ve got my 5 yr old helping!
