Easy Snowman Snack with RITZ Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season has already begun in our home and I know that means snack time is extra important right now. Not only is it important so we don’t have any meltdowns after school (PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one), but it helps make special memories with my daughter.

Memories – something that I value above all else. So…follow along as I show you a quick way to make memories with your kids this holiday season by making an Easy Snowman Snack with RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers.

Best of all, these are snacks that you can make ahead of time or have the kids participate in (my personal favorite)!

Why am I turning to RITZ  Filled Sandwich Crackers? RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers are guaranteed to keep the HANGRY away! I’m not just talking hungry, I mean HANGRY! You know, the moment when it’s gone beyond a simple hunger and the emotions start to show up. I’ve been there. It’s true for our kids too. I see a huge change in my daughter as soon as I get a great combination of carbs and protein.

And that right there is the reason I choose RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers – combo of carbs and protein. You can choose from either RITZ Peanut Butter Filled  Sandwich Crackers or RITZ Cheese Filled Sandwich Crackers – both great options!

So let’s have some fun…because both our kids (and snowmen) need to avoid melting down this holiday season!

RITZ snack prep

If you want to get the  kids involved, set up stations with a small plate and little bowls to hold all the fixin’s for their easy snowman snack!

Feel free to get creative here.

Easy Snowman Snack

Ingredients

  • RITZ Peanut Butter Filled Sandwich Crackers 8ct or RITZ Cheese Filled Sandwich Crackers 8ct
  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Unsweetened Flake Coconut
  • Raisins
  • Peanut Butter or Hummus to use as “glue”
  • Candy Corn
  • Red Licorice

(Optional) – Black Wafer Cookies for a snowman hat

Directions

RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers come individually wrapped with 6 crackers inside (3 on top and 3 on bottom). This makes 2 complete snowmen with each package.

Set 3 of the filled crackers in a row on plate to resemble a snowman.

TIP: I added a bit of peanut butter on the edges where the crackers touched to keep them from moving so much while decorating.

Now it’s time to have some fun:

Using peanut butter dabs as your glue:

  • Use raisins for eyes and buttons
  • Cut pretzels the right size for arms
  • Use candy corn for nose
  • Cut licorice into two small rectangles for a scarf
  • Use unsweetened flake coconut for snow.

TIP: If you don’t have flake coconut, another option would be miniature marshmallows.

TIP: This is exactly the reason I hide some of the extra Halloween candy my daughter gets each October. I use them for holiday projects like this. It’s the stash where I found candy corn and licorice.

TIP: If you don’t have any Halloween candy corn lying around the house, cut up a small piece of orange bell pepper into a triangle shape for a nose.

So cute!

Kids can get as creative as their imagination and your supplies will allow!

Sweet and savory treat – one that will definitely keep my daughter from melting down, something even snowmen want to avoid doing!

Kroger snack aisle

RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers (both varieties) are now available at Kroger stores and I just stocked up for the holidays!

The 8-count packages are ideal for having in the pantry, backpack, purse or suitcase for holiday travel!

In my local Kroger store, you’d find these RITZ Filled Sandwich Crackers in the aisle next to peanut butter, jelly and applesauce. There was a sign that said “cheese crackers” so I found them easily! Note that they aren’t usually next to the regular crackers section so keep your eyes peeled. They will be nearby, just possibly on a different aisle.

I even spotted a sale this week! Always love how Kroger makes my day like that.

So many reasons to have these!

  • RITZ Peanut Butter Filled Sandwich Crackers 8ct
  • RITZ Cheese Filled Sandwich Crackers 8ct

Which is your favorite? RITZ Peanut Butter Filled Sandwich Crackers or RITZ Cheese Filled Sandwich Crackers?

I wish we had Krogers here. I love shopping there. I would always stock up when I visited one of my daughters. They have such great deals!
We love Ritz! I think that we will make these for our “littles” at church after they do their Christmas program. Thanks for sharing.

These are very cute. We’re big Ritz fans here, for the sandwiches the cheese variety is our favorite.

I think those are adorable. Not to mention delicious looking. Peanut butter and Ritz has been one of my favorite snacks since I was a little girl.
