Fall is almost here and I’ve been going through all my decorations in the garage. One thing I’ve learned over the years, some of the best halloween decorations don’t have to cost much at all.
Here are a few of my all-time favorite Frugal Halloween Decorations:
Poster Board Haunted House Scenes:
Supplies: Poster Boards, Craft Knife or Scissors (Drawing or Copying Skill)
Project: Simply draw the outline of Halloween images…..here, we chose Halloween spooky houses & tree, but you can get creative! Cut out when needed, as in the windows.
Effect: I love the look of the houses on top of the baseboards….especially fun in an foyer or entrance.
Supplies: White Poster Board; Craft Scissors or Knife
Project: Simply draw the outline of various Halloween images like ghosts (or bats) on white poster board to fit various mirrors/doors in your home. Cut where needed.
Effect: The kids will love this one – new friends in the house!
Of course, if you are like me, you have a stash of various ribbons in your home. Break them out for the holidays and add a bit of holiday color as shown here with the shower curtain! You can even purchase an inexpensive black shower curtain for the guest bathroom, especially if you are hosting a Halloween bash.
