This week, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®, we had a fun and easy kids breakfast using Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls, which we found at Walmart.

Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls

Two things I learned about breakfast this year from having a daughter in kindergarten……it needs to be nutritious to give them energy until lunch AND it needs to be made quickly.

Yes, quick and easy breakfast meals are the key to a successful morning, especially when there is so much going on.  And even though we are officially out of school and enjoying summer vacation, my daughter is still waking up at the crack of dawn and expecting breakfast right away.  So much for sleeping in!

Once again, I need a quick and easy meal that is nutritious.  A great option I just discovered from Tyson – Breakfast Bread Bowls!

The bread bowls currently come in two varieties and have 4 servings per box.

  • Egg, Bacon and Cheese
  • Sausage, Egg and Cheese

Do they satisfy the need for quick?  Yes – it takes just 55 seconds to warm up one in the microwave.

Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls Fun

Of course, I didn’t have a lot of time to make breakfast fun during the school year.  One thing I can do in summer…..get a bit more creative.  After all, making summer memories is important.

So, this week I made a smiley face breakfast with pineapple, a prune and Breakfast Bread Bowls!  I’ve got the fruit, dairy, and protein – she’d have plenty of energy for all that summer fun.  I really do think she burns more energy during the summer, especially since she’s not behind a desk for a good chunk of the day.

Of course, we decided to have a guest over for breakfast too.  He much preferred milk to orange juice.  Who knew?  Dumbo is quite particular!  🙂  But he loved the Breakfast Bread Bowls too!

Just keeping it real – I’m afraid my picky eaters would balk at these just based on what they look like. Did your kids say anything about it?

I’m fortunate that my 5 yr old is a great eater. I knew she liked them since she gobbled up one in Walmart at the demo. 🙂
