I thought I’d kick off my 2011 Holiday Gift Guide with a line of products that are not only affordable, but the purchase of which aids children around the world.
Just this month IKEA kicked off the IKEA Soft Toys for Education campaign. The goal behind the campaign is to help children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia have access to quality education.
Approximately $1.35 from every Ikea Soft Toy purchased will be given to Save the Children and UNICEF in order to make this goal a reality.
Since 2003 the campaign has given $47.5 Million to these organizations. The goal this year is $16 Million. This is one campaign that I’m absolutely happy to promote.
The IKEA soft toys line includes stuffed animals, finger puppets and books that start at just 49 cents, with most well under $10. How cute are these? These are just a few of the many options available………I love the mouse!!
Thanks to IKEA, we received three products from the Soft Toy line. We absolutely fell in love with the veggies. Yes…..those are veggies. The broccoli is huge and so adorable, complete with a blue and white checkered skirt and legs. The carrot is much smaller, but just as adorable! These two soft toys are just $7.99 each……and yes, machine washable! 🙂
The bunny in the hat toy is actually a musical toy. You gently pull the bunny out of the hat to hear a low-level lullaby. This is such a sweet little toy……perfect for baby’s first Christmas. It’s only $6.99 too.
You can purchase the soft toys at all IKEA stores or online: Ikea Soft Toy products. The campaign runs now through December 24th.
They are adorable and affordable……..but most of all, they help children around the world.
