This summer my daughter had the chance to attend her very first wedding. Oh, was she excited. But there were some extra things that made this particular wedding that much more special.
- The bride was her cousin
- It was a destination wedding
- The ceremony and reception were on a beach
- Wedding/Family Reunion/Vacation all in one
It was the perfect time for her to read the latest book in a chapter book series, Flower Girl World. The book – Iris and the Aloha Wedding Adventure!
The ideal book for my daughter since we were attending a destination wedding……and while we were heading to Destin, Florida, this book features the Hawaiian islands!
Aloha! Iris is traveling to the Hawaiian island of Maui to be a flower girl again, and this time she gets to help set up the wedding! But how will she and her new flower girl friend, Hana, finish all their tasks and still have time for fun? It’s going to take a lot of hard work…and a little Hawaiian magic.
This isn’t the first time I’ve talked about the book series Flower Girl World, written by Lynelle Woolley and illustrated by Karen Wolcott. When first discovered them, I loved the chance to chat about the first 2 Flower World Girl books.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating –> Whether you’re a Bride looking for the perfect gift for your flower girl, or a parent whose little girl loves anything to do with weddings (or really just likes books about girls her age), you’ll want to check out this series.
The first book, Camellia the Fabulous Flower Girl is a 32-page picture book (Hardcover) geared towards girls ages 4 and up.
But as my daughter is entering 2nd grade, she loves to read and chapter books are more her style.
This is where I’m excited to see where Flower Girl World grows!
The very first chapter book in the series, Rosie and the Wedding Day Rescue, is a 73 page book priced at just $4.99 and once again brings three flower girls together, who don’t know each other, for a special wedding. We meet Rosie, Iris, and Starr, who must work together when the wedding starts to fall apart.
The latest book, Iris and the Aloha Wedding Adventure is 80 pages. Set in the Hawaiian islands, not only do you learn about the culture but some new wedding traditions as well. Best of all, there is a glossary and pronunciation guide in the back. I’m not ashamed to say I needed it with some Hawaiian words.
Only problem with this series…..we can’t get enough! Lynelle Woolley can’t write them fast enough for us!
Next up is “Starr and the High Seas Wedding Drama”. With so many possible wedding themes and cultures out there, I imagine this book series will continue to be successful!
BUY: All books available at Flower Girl World but you can also find Flower Girl World books on Amazon.
Now for some extra fun for my readers….

I was a flower girl only once and I barely remember it now.
No to both.
Thanks!

Thanks!
I was a flower girl when I was five years old. The bride was my mom’s godmother’s eldest daughter. The bride let me choose my favorite color for the flower girl’s dress and I chose green. I still smile when I see the picture of me in a green satin dress accompanied by the ring bearer in a green velvet tuxedo.
I’ve never been a flower girl in a wedding. I’m hoping my nieces will be flower girls in my daughters wedding. It would be so cute for them to hold my granddaughters hand while they all walk down the isle. Thank you for the great giveaway 🙂

Nope, never got to be a flower girl, and our wedding was held in Japan – they didn’t have that tradition over there, so no flower girl at my wedding either 🙁
I was never a flower girl, but I was a “junior bridesmaid” when I was 10.
I was a flower girl and maid of honor and a bridesmaid twice.
