Excavators, Bulldozers, and Graders……kids of all ages love to see powerful machines in action. With a DVD, you can get up close too. Just released weeks ago is the new DVD for kids, John Deere Earth Mover Action. It showcases all kinds of machinery, but especially features John Deere’s newest – the fast, powerful, four-track 764 Dozer.
Recently I had the opportunity to review the DVD with my 2 year old daughter. I wasn’t sure how excited she would be over machinery…..and I wasn’t exactly sure what a kids DVD of John Deere machines would be like. I was surprised on both fronts.
While watching the bulldozers, my daughter kept saying “WOW“….over and over. Clearly she was impressed. The DVD itself as an entirety was impressive to Mommy….it wasn’t just about watching machines move, haul and load. It’s interactive……it had my daughter drumming to the music and pretending to operate the machines.
Appealing to both boys and girls, this is one DVD that’s fun for everyone (including Mommy, who admittedly played the pretend keyboard, and Daddy, who played the pretend harmonica). One of my favorite parts was watching “toy” machines play on Big Rock Candy Mountain…..moving and hauling fruit loops, marshmallows, and M&M’s.
Approximately 40 minutes long, this DVD has kids singing, drumming, and using their imagination.
