I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Nutri-Grain. I received product samples and promotional item to thank me for participating in this campaign for Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Fruit & Oat Harvest Cereal Bars.
The breakfast table is rarely a family affair in my household. We all eat breakfast on different schedules, if at all. (More on that later – and don’t yell at me, please)! 🙂
First, there’s my husband. While he is the one who has always tried to convince me that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, he is always in a hurry running out the door to work. No time for a hot meal. IF he does eat breakfast, it’s “on the way” to work. Not ideal, I know.
Then there’s my 6 year old. School mornings move pretty quick. Someone likes her sleep just as much as her mama. That means while I may prepare a hot meal like scrambled eggs, milk and fruit, I certainly don’t eat with her. I’m too busy making her school lunch, checking the weather to pick out school clothes, signing the classroom folder, etc.
And……that leaves me. Once I return from dropping someone off at school, I rarely go back to the kitchen to make myself a good and healthy breakfast. Many times I skip breakfast altogether.
I’ve always been the “no breakfast” person. Caffeine suits me just fine until lunch. Ever since I was a kid I have tried to boycott breakfast. That hasn’t changed much, but I sure have. I realize that I need to eat a little something in the morning to get my energy going. It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be warm. Just something.
Enter the new Kellogg’s® Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest Cereal Bars. With 4 grams of protein and a great combination of real fruit (yes!!!) and whole grains, it does the trick for me. While I may still reach for that coffee cup, the cereal bar ensures I have the right amount of energy until lunch. Much needed now that I’m a mom and in my 40s.
As for my husband……..I’ve given him an entire box of the Blueberry Bliss cereal bars to have for his breakfast on the go (also available in Country Strawberry). Funny thing is that I actually caught him eating them at home! 🙂
They are delicious!
You’ll find them at most retailers nationwide!
Be sure to visit NutriGrain on Facebook and be on the lookout for packages with 50 cent off coupons on them like those pictured above!
We love Nutri Grain bars, and keep them in the car for snacks. I am always running late and sometimes need to remember to feed myself.
Breakfast is the hardest meal for me — I am all about quick and easy bars that I can carry in my purse for when I forget! 😉
I will have to check these out — we are always looking for quick breakfast options! (Or lazy momma options)
Ha! Your husband looks a whole lot like my husband in this photo!!
Breakfast on the run happens more often than we’d like. Something quick, healthy and easy to grab is always a good thing!
