As “A Frugal Friend”, I get asked all the time how I organize my coupons. I’m afraid to say I’ve never had an answer. Correction…..I have an answer, but it’s not a great one, one that I’d share with readers.
True confession: I don’t like how I’ve organized my coupons the past few years.
Before I met Beth, from Proverbs 31 Gal, this Type A Mom had a stack of full coupon inserts and “tried” to organize all the coupons I cut out into two of those $1.00 accordion files from Target’s dollar section. Let me tell you…..it didn’t work. I regularly missed expiration dates and let valuable coupons go to waste (even FREE item coupons). GASP!
I needed a new system and thankfully, Beth sent me her coupon organizational system, the Mabelino Coupon Binder to try out.
I probably will always save full newspaper coupon inserts. I put the date on the outside of them and only cut out the coupons I know I’ll use (diapers, etc). The small accordion system I was using for those loose coupons just didn’t organize well for me. While it sorted them by category, it wasn’t big enough for ALL my loose coupons and certainly didn’t allow me to easily see the expiration dates. I don’t know about you, but it kills me to find that I’ve let an amazing coupon expire. I’ve done it….many times.
I love being organized (I’m the type that likes to buy school supplies too)….so I was quite excited to receive the “Orange You Savin” Mabelino Coupon Binder. Yes, I had fun while filling it with coupons! FUN!
- A One-Inch binder w/ 8 different sections
- 20 coupon insert pages. Use front and back to hold up to 360 coupons!
- 2 sheets with 4 pockets for making shopping trips easier
- 5 large pocket sheets for holding shopping lists, coupon policies and those extra large coupons
- 4 Color-Coded shopping lists.
- 4 Weekly Meal Plans(enough for a whole month!).
- Walmart and Targets coupon policies (Just in case)
- “Start Savin” packet with tips and ways to save money
THUMBS UP! Mabelino has simplified my life (really)! I no longer have to pull out an entire category of coupons to look for that “one” you need. No longer will that awesome coupon expire. As you can see in the photo above, I have just one page with nothing but FREE product coupons. Now I can clearly see them and when they expire. So invaluable. No longer will it take forever to prepare for my grocery trip either. Mabelino has saved me time!
I’m not sure I’ll always take the binder with me inside the stores….I much prefer to have a detailed grocery list with matching coupons ready to go. I spend less when I stick to a list. But it will be helpful to have the binder in the car just in case I see a deal that can’t be passed up and I know I have a coupon. At a minimum, the Mabelino Coupon Binder has become an invaluable tool to help me save money, and has made me much more efficient. I’m SOLD!
