I had a little fun today in the kitchen with a sponsored campaign from Goldrich Eggs. Who knew breakfast could be so fun? Just make a Thanksgiving turkey with breakfast foods!

Make a Thanksgiving Turkey with Food 1

Mornings have been hard lately. I’m usually the one dragging in the morning and reaching for the coffee, but lately it’s been my daughter (well, not the coffee part). It’s not just getting out of bed that’s been difficult, but even getting her to eat breakfast has been a challenge. So, I knew I had to pull out some old tricks.

Yes! Old tricks. I’m not the only parent who will go to great lengths for an easy morning, right?

With Thanksgiving just around the corner (YIKES – next week), I got a little creative with breakfast. I wanted it to be balanced with protein, carbs and fruit.

Ah…..the Thanksgiving turkey soon became my inspiration!

What do you think of the little gobbler?

Well, it’s less about what you think and more about the fact that my daughter gobbled it all up…..in record time! She smiled. There were no complaints. We weren’t late to school.

It was a win-win!

Goldrich Eggs

I started with Goldrich Eggs. Goldrich Eggs are beautiful in color and I am already planning on showcasing them next week with my Thanksgiving Deviled Eggs. I found them at my neighborhood Walmart here in the Dallas area.

Today I scrambled the Goldrich Eggs…..mmmmm! A major step in creating my Thanksgiving Turkey Breakfast!

Thanksgiving Turkey Breakfast

These ingredients were already in my kitchen and chances are, there in yours too!

INGREDIENTS:

1 Sausage Patty

1 Mini Waffle

2 Fresh Blueberries

2 Goldrich Eggs, Scrambled

14-15 Fresh Raspberries

1 Clementine, Peeled and Separated

Thanksgiving Turkey Breakfast 2

Details:

Feathers are made by alternating scrambled eggs with fruit like clementines and raspberries, but feel free to get creative with other items and colors!

Eyes are created with blueberries.

Beak is a small piece of scrambled egg.

Gobbler is a slice of a fresh raspberry!

Have fun and enjoy!
