Michaels Stores Passport to Imagination events fill up a 7-week program throughout the summer. They invite kids to explore culture through crafting……..educating through fun! And the events are truly fun!
This year they have teamed with seven of North America’s top museums to create projects inspired by the museums and its exhibits.
This couldn’t be more perfect. While many of us have visited some of these famous museums around the country (and world), so many never have the opportunity. It gives children a glimpse into the museum, learning all the way.
Here is the itinerary and museum themes:
What is so fun, especially for my daughter, is that last summer we actually visited The Field Museum in Chicago and we spent the afternoon at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas yesterday. She’s been to 2 of these amazing museums that the events and crafts are themed after.
The in-store events:
- June 16 through Aug. 2
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Time – 10 a.m. to noon.
- Each two-hour session is just $2 per child
- Some stores do fill up quickly, so try to register in advance.
We went to our first event last week based on The Field Museum and dinosaurs! We (don’t I get some credit?) completed two projects, including a fossil art build!
This week is the Georgia Aquarium……we’ll be there!
You can’t beat a 2-hour summer activity for $2!
Have you and your kids been to a Passport to Imagination Event?
