If there’s one movie I’ve been looking forward to all year it’s this one….from Disney*Pixar – Monsters University!

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

And yes, Billy Crystal and John Goodman will be back in their starring roles – THIS WEEK!

Monsters University Books

Thanks to Random House Kids, I was able to learn all about Sully and Mike in the beginning with a selection of books about Monsters University.  My 5 yr old and I had so much fun learning the “story” behind two of our favorite characters…….plus you might just see a not-so-favorite in this new story too.  Remember Randall?  🙂

$3.97 – Scaring Lessons (Step Into Reading Step 2) – a great book for early readers with sight words and a basic story.

$4.49 – Dare to Scare (Golden First Chapters) – I couldn’t be more excited about this book.  It’s a Golden First Chapters book, which I hadn’t seen before.  There are 11 easy chapters – perfect for kids who have graduated from the step into reading books and are ready for a bit of a challenge with chapter books.  I imagine we’ll be grabbing more of these Golden First Chapter books now!

$8.99 – Monsters University Big Golden Book – I have many of these Big Golden Books and adore them……they will be passed down to the next generation (I hope)!  This is the largest book with full color photos on every page.  At 64 pages it’s wonderful for kids of all ages, whether they are reading or not.

$4.49 – Monsters University Junior Novelization – With 128 pages, this is for kids who have moved beyond chapter books and into shorter novels.  No worries though, there are still a few full-color photos in the middle of the novel, just not like the other books.
