I cannot believe it’s almost October!
Have you seen the calendar? October 1st is just a week away. Realistically that means we are fully enveloped in our back to school routine. Early mornings. The dreaded math homework each night. Oh, and school lunches.
I’ve always packed my daughter’s lunch for school. Well, except for that one time I thought the adventure of a “school bought lunch” would give her some adventure and new skills…..she didn’t care for it too much. I really can’t blame her. There’s something about opening up a lunchbox that was prepared by your mom.
Made with love, lunchbox items have that added special touch – especially if Mom has written a sweet note in there just for you! XOXO
While we all like a bit of variety, let’s face it, the sandwich is a staple when it comes to school lunch. From chicken salad or turkey to peanut butter or grilled cheese, there’s a sandwich for everyone. My first stop when making a sandwich……Nature’s Harvest® bread.
So easy to find, Nature’s Harvest® bread is on the shelves at my local Walmart store.
DEAL ALERT: It’s on rollback for $1.97 per loaf (exclusive to Walmart), so perfect for families of every size.
There are so many varieties of Nature’s Harvest – from Honey Wheat (my daughter’s personal favorite) and beyond. Best of all, they make it an easy choice for moms like me with when it comes to whole grains – with at least 8 grams of whole grains in every serving.
At least 8 grams of whole grains in every serving!
NO artificial flavors, colors or high-fructose corn syrup!
It can be a challenge to sneak enough whole grains into our diet – not just the kiddos, but I’m talking adults too.
One way I get everyone excited about sandwiches is to have a little fun with them – sandwich art! Apparently I’m not the only one. “According to a recent nationwide survey conducted on behalf of Nature’s Harvest bread, nearly 75 percent of moms have employed creative methods, such as styling food into fun shapes, to get their children to eat more nutritiously.” From something as simple as using cookie cutters to shape the bread, lunch is transformed and kids go nuts over it!

FREE $5 Walmart Gift Card: For some extra fun, tell Nature’s Harvest what you think about whole grains at NaturesHarvestBreadSurvey.com for a 10 minute opt-in shopper research survey. They will be sending a $5 Walmart gift cards to the first 100 people that fully complete the survey (U.S. citizens only, must be 18 years or older to participate).
Tell me, what’s your favorite sandwich?
