In just a couple of days it will officially be Autumn. Though we might still be in shorts and drinking iced tea because it’s Texas, I’m doing everything I can to pretend that we are moving very swiftly towards the holidays. In fact, we are less than 100 days until Christmas! Thanks to Hallmark Publishing, there are many new Hallmark stories available to put on your gift list this year, like the brand new On Christmas Avenue by New York Times bestselling author Ginny Baird. I’ve got all the scoop!

Hallmark Publishing Christmas Books
There are more ways than ever to enjoy a heartwarming Hallmark story. I’ll take all the Hallmark stories I can get, especially when I can snuggle up with my blanket and a nice, warm cup of coffee. I started this tradition in 2019 and continued last year when I read the Hallmark Publishing book, Wrapped Up In Christmas Joy.
With the same attention to storytelling that goes into every movie, they are sure to bring us new characters, relationships, romances, and intriguing mysteries.
Hallmark books like On Christmas Avenue are now available in Paperbook, e-book, and Audiobook!
Bonus fun: Each book includes an original recipe inspired by the story (and I’m sharing the recipe you’ll discover in On Christmas Avenue below!)
The Perfect Gift – sweet holiday stories along with original recipes. Whether as a gift or stocking stuffer (Hey, Santa!) consider these books for the women in your life (and don’t forget the teachers this year!)
On Christmas Avenue by Ginny Baird – Review
A little about the story:
Evan, the county sheriff, knows that businesses are struggling in the small town of Clark Creek. But unlike the mayor—who happens to be his mother—he doesn’t think that hiring a “Christmas Consultant,” whatever that is, will help. Especially when this Christmas Consultant proposes a holiday parade that seems likely to overwhelm his staff and leave the town in even more debt.
Mary is sure the parade is going to be a superb fundraiser. She’s going to make sure of it, overcoming every obstacle…including those put in place by the stubborn sheriff. But in the middle of her planning, the unexpected happens: she and Evan begin to see one another in a different light. Could the parade bring about more than one Christmas miracle? This funny, feel-good holiday romance is perfect for fans of Sheila Roberts, Susan Mallery, and Jenny Hale.
Thanks to my friends at Hallmark Publishing, I got my hands on a copy of the new book early. Once I started, I could not put it down. It was the ideal distraction at the end of a long, hard day during what was a tough week for me. Every night I took a long, hot bath, put on some comfy pajamas, and snuggled right up in bed with On Christmas Avenue. Maybe I was also dreaming that it was snowing outside, just like it was in Clark Creek, the setting for the story.
Ginny Baird picked the quintessential setting for a story of this magnitude. Clark Creek is the small town we all dream of during the holidays, complete with gazebo, falling snow, and people who are neighborly, even during tough times.
I immediately identified with Mary, a go-getter who clearly loves her job and doesn’t mind an obstacle or two, or a hundred at the 12th hour. I identified with her right down to the pizza she orders, pepperoni and mushroom. We were “kindred spirits”, as Anne of Green Gables would say.
Evan, despite his tough exterior, has a heart of gold and an extraordinary family life, with a mayor mom, dad, two brothers, and a niece.
Tell me it’s a Hallmark story without telling me it’s a Hallmark story! Ginny Baird does a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life. It’s a must-read this holiday season.
