***GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED***
Congratulations to #51 Coupon Slayer
I grew up playing with dolls and imagining I was Snow White. I liked having tea parties and doing ballet. I “might” have been on the sidelines doing cheers for the crowd in high school. Typical girly things.
I also believed I could do anything. I could make the best grades in math. I could travel the world…by myself. I could become anything I wanted….and did, in a male-dominated field. All this thanks to my parents. I never remember anybody telling me I couldn’t….couldn’t because I was a girl, that is. I was lucky.
Now that I have a daughter of my own, I think about it a lot. What did my parents do?
Oh, I wish I could ask my mom.
Losing my mom to breast cancer has changed my life. I also hope it will inspire my daughter….to live life to its fullest, to focus on family and faith, and to never give up. A little voice inside me also dreams…..
Maybe she’ll make a difference……..maybe never knowing her Grandma will inspire her to think big. To be strong, to be selfless, to fight for better and earlier detection, to find a cure. Who knows…..she could become an oncologist…..do research. She could do anything……I’ll teach her the same things my own mother taught me……to dream.
Encouraging girls………that’s exactly what Pigtail Pals is all about. Melissa Wardy created Pigtail Pals, to help redefine girly…….to never limit girls’ dreams. As a concerned mom, Melissa created an amazing line of Onesies and T-shirts for both moms & daughters, with empowering messages. That girls can be “bold, adventurous and heroic, just like the boys”!
These are just 2 of the 12 designs that are available. The shirt designs are not only inspiring (and send a clear message), but they are designed by Melissa’s own mother.
- Shirts are premium quality
- Every shirt sold benefits a charity of the month
- Committed to being a socially responsible company
New: You’ll now find Pigtail Pals Gear, like hats, lunchbags, backpacks, stickers and more.
Thanks to Pigtail Pals, earlier this year I received 2 beautifully wrapped shirts…matching ones for my daughter and I. I am honored to wear them this month and throughout the year.
Pigtail Pals has created a new 2010 Find the Cure t-shirt, and my daughter and I proudly wear it! What I love about it (other than the obvious)……..it depicts women searching for a cure. Women doctors/scientists. And while I’ll take anyone, woman or man, fighting for this great cause, the message is clear to my daughter. You can be anything……yes, a ballet dancer, a teacher, and mommy, but you can also be an archaeologist, a pilot, or someone who finds the cure for cancer!
DONATION: For every Find the Cure T-shirt sold ($23.00), $3.00 will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
FRUGAL TIP: Use the coupon code fall30 right now for 30% off! (good thru October) When that expires, Use the coupon code: mommade for 10% off all orders (no expiration date)
