I’ve been “eyeing” Cupcake Cuties for a while now. This summer I had the perfect excuse to try them out….for my daughter’s circus themed birthday party. While I was excited about all aspects of the party, I was looking forward to making the most amazing cupcakes perhaps the most!

If you haven’t yet heard of Cupcake Cuties….you’ll want to check them out. Why? Because they take ordinary cupcakes (you know, basic ones that everyone loves to eat), and makes them extraordinary! I’m not kidding!

Yes, that’s a cupcake, not a Hamburger!

These are just a few examples of what you can create with the Designer Cupcake Kits from Cupcake Cuties.  Yes, anyone can create these, because they are so easy.

Theresa Deliberto created these kits after seeing many amazing cupcakes at special events.  She realized that decorated cupcakes didn’t need to be limited to weddings and such, so she created Cupcake Cuties, easy instructional kits with 24 sleeves, plus all the toppings necessary to create the design.

From cupcakes that look like Sushi, to Hamburgers (another favorite of mine), and plenty of holiday options, there’s something for just about every occasion.  Theresa even features “Cuties for the Cure”, where 5% of the Sale will go to Benefit Susan G. Komen LA.

With 33 kits to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one, but my task was easy…….find one for a circus themed birthday party.  I quickly chose the Movie Popcorn Cupcake Kit (popcorn isn’t just for movies after all…….perfect for a circus red/white theme)!

Complete Movie Popcorn Cupcake Kit Contains:

  • (24) Movie Popcorn Cupcake Sleeves/Wrappers
  • Bag of Mini-Marshmallows
  • Yellow Crystal Sugar Shaker (for butter look)
  • Easy to follow How-To decorating instructions and illustrations

The first step is completely on your own…..make cupcakes.  You can choose any type, flavor, brand, etc.  It doesn’t matter if it’s from a box or homemade.  Let the cupcakes cool.  Then frost the cupcakes, once again, you buy or make the frosting you want.  I used a basic white cake mix and white store bought frosting to make it quicker.

Then I placed the cupcake wrappers around the frosted cupcakes.  This was the part I was most nervous about…..and I didn’t need to be.  It was soooo easy.  The ends have an adhesive to stick together.  No problems at all with them sticking……even days after.

Next up, the fun part.  Place mini-marshmallows on top of the frosted cupcake. Put a little bit of the leftover frosting on the edge of the marshmallow to make them pile up higher.

TIP: Have fun with it.  The less I thought about placement of the marshmallow, the cuter it looked.  Totally for the beginner…..easy peasy!

Then shake some of the yellow sugar crystals on top to make it look like buttered popcorn.  What do you think?

I’m telling you, all the kids loved them…..and I think the adults were impressed too!  🙂  I highly recommend these!!

BUY THEM: Most are on sale for $12.99 + S&H right now! Cupcake-Cuties-Birthday-Girl
