Our favorite bears are heading back to school…..Brother and Sister from The Berenstain Bears!

My little one (now 6) is heading off to 1st grade too. As we gear up, I’m reminded how I left her crying last year in kindergarten, but by the end of the day, she proclaimed it to be the “best day ever”.

In The Berenstain Bears Go Back to School, I see a lot of similarities.  In fact, Sister Bear is going in to First Grade, while Brother Bear is going into Third.

On the first day of the new school year, the Berenstain cubs are reminded that though school is a challenge, it can also be fun!

We are reading this book now as we prepare for school!

  26. Sister bear was always my favorite but really when I was little and read these books I wanted to live with the Berenstain bears in their tree house 🙂

  40. As a child I always like Papa Bear! I still do. My son is reading these books now and I like to read them with him! It is amazing how much they take you back to your own childhood!

  91. Holy Cow! I haven’t thought about The Berenstain Bears since I was a little girl. When I started Kindergarten, a new book would be in our mailbox every so often and I remember how excited I would get to read about their latest adventures. I like Sister Bear. I related to her since my brother was 2 years older than me.
