Top Coloring Books for Adults Affiliate Link in Post

As a mom, I’ve never minded sitting down with my daughter and spending time with crayons. It’s relaxing. I knew that, yet I wasn’t the brilliant one who decided adult coloring books would be a “thing”. It’s brilliant.

Think about it for a second.

There are many people who could use the adult coloring books as therapy – physical therapy (fine motor skills). Younger and older people.

There are many people who could use the adult coloring books when they are lonely.

There are some, like me, who have been sidelined due to an illness or injury and have a little extra time in bed on their hands. Adult coloring books are perfect.

There are so many who would love them just for fun. Mom can have her coloring book while kiddo has hers. Family time right there.

I’ve chosen a few of my favorite adult coloring books and organized them in different categories.

Splendid Cities Coloring Book

As luck would have it, I had bought myself my very own, and very first, adult coloring book just weeks before I broke my foot. What timing. So, I’ve spent many times coloring over the past few weeks – a welcome distraction that’s a distraction from pain, relaxing and fun.

I’m in the market for yet another book and I’ve found so many great options that I wanted to share them with you.

Adult coloring is the new thing. Thanks for the information about the cool books. There are so many. Also you can Google “free adult coloring pages” and print them out for free. There are bazillions. We are starting an adult coloring club at my library. Yay! kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.

Thanks for the list. My daughter (she is 22) has a lot of anxiety and she found these coloring books and loves them. They really seem to help her relax.

Random question, do those markers bleed through the pages of those colouring book? I’ve been trying super hard to find markers that don’t bleed through the pages but with no luck!

Great question Jessie. Actually these particular markers that I use do bleed through the pages a little, but I just am not happy with the colored pencils I’ve used. I like the brightness of these markers. One thing I try to do is put a piece of cardboard underneath so it doesn’t bleed onto the next page.

I agree…I love colouring so much and as a Life Coach, I created the MINDSSAGE Colouring Book Series. Which again..I love colouring my books. The benefits of colouring in repetitive words and affirmations are truly life changing. Keep on colouring eceryone!!
