I’m no stranger to breast cancer.
Both my grandmothers are survivors.
I’ve been a caretaker during chemo.
I’ve lost my mom to the disease, when she was just 55 years old.
I’ve shared my experience with my first mammogram.
I’ve struggled with grief. Cried through moments where my mom should have been there. Wished my daughter had known her grandma.
I’ve had my own breast cancer scare.
It’s no wonder that I’m a brand ambassador for #The3Day.
And if there’s one thing I’ve come to realize, it’s that people need help, reassurance, and information about breast cancer.
Sometimes listening to the doctor is like an out of body experience, and you don’t “hear everything”. It’s helpful to have things written down. This goes for loved ones too. Spouses, parents, grown children, etc.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, are a loved-one, or are worried about what your own risk is, I’ve found an amazing resource, one I wish had been available for my family when we needed it most. I’m talking about Lifescript.com
The Breast Cancer Health Center from Lifescript provides medical information, tips and advice that are all written by professional health writers, experts and physicians.
There is so much information about breast cancer…..from risk and prevention to symptoms and diagnosis. You can find information about alternative therapies and nutrition. A list of support resources, which are invaluable, are there. Recipes, clinical trials, and more.
One thing that I’ve found necessary for visiting with all doctors is a list of questions about breast cancer and treatment. You will forget to ask things. You may not know what questions to ask. Lifescript helps you prepare that list…….so helpful.
For me, having breast cancer in my 3 closest female relatives, I’m interested in research. One thing I love about Lifescript is that I’ve found information about genetic breakthroughs. These are important to my family and I, as in reality, it was the treatment, and not the cancer, that took my mom’s life.
So no matter the reason why you visit Lifescript on this topic, there is something for you.
Lifescript is an amazing resource for breast cancer and other prevalent medical conditions related to women’s health.

My grandmother and great-grandmother had breast cancer. As I get older, I find myself taking it a lot more seriously. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Carrie…..I’m hoping that both of them beat cancer!!
*inspiration (sorry about that)
Wow. What a strong woman you are!
I hate the “c” word. Too many people in my family have been affected in one way or another with many different forms.
Excellent info you’ve shared! What an inpiration.
Thank you Crystal…..not always strong, but I try! 🙂
I had my first mammogram when I was only 13 yrs old. Thankfully the lumps in my breast were Fibrous Cysts. Nothing dangerous. Thing is, I need to be rechecked, because how would I even know if there was a serious issue. I had my cancer scare with my ovarian tumor, I know the feeling. My dad recently beat cancer. Cancer sucks. Great post!
So glad to hear your dad is a survivor! That makes me smile….give him a big hug!!
I’m so sorry for your losses and struggles, but thank you for being a voice for breast cancer and for bringing attention to the research that can help all women.
Thank you Jessica!
Cancer has touched so many of us, but it really has touched your heart and family. Good for you for standing strong for them.
