Dallas Zoo Lights
Giveaway Item: Two Family 4-Packs + Free Parking Voucher
Note: Each Family 4-pack will include 2 adult tickets, 2 youth tickets and a parking voucher and would need to be used before 12/31/19.
Dallas Zoo Lights Presented by Reliant has kicked off another season of holiday fun. I’ve shared my top 5 reasons to visit the Dallas Zoo in years past, but during this season you can enjoy regular admission at the zoo and then enjoy the extra nighttime festivities.
Why? Dallas Zoo Lights tickets also include general admission for the Zoo that day. So plan a day of it! Show up before 4 p.m. and enjoy the animals, then stay for holiday activities at night. The animals will head in for the day at 4 p.m., but you can stay in the park until the lights come on at 5 p.m.! You can take that hour break to enjoy dinner or leave and come back later that evening (don’t forget to get your hand stamped).
During these 36 select nights from Nov. 15 through Jan. 5, you’ll enjoy realistic silk-covered lanterns in the shape of favorite animals, a holiday light show, nature ornament-making, photo ops, and so much more. There are animal encounters at the children’s zoo, meet and greets with Santa himself, and let’s not forget the food – from specialty donuts to hot chocolate! Every year they have a sensory friendly night too. You can get more details here.

Officially opening Saturday, December 7th, Museum of Illusions is surely to be an instant hit in the downtown Dallas area.
The Museum of Illusions will house over 50 exhibits, including optical illusions, holograms, installations and interactive illusion rooms. I cannot wait to experience this firsthand as they are touting this as the pioneer of the “edutainment concept” fusing fun and entertainment with education and learning.
Located at 701 Ross Ave Dallas, TX 75202. You can learn more here.

The Trains at NorthPark
Giveaway Item: 2 Admission Passes
This annual tradition runs through Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 and as always benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, which cares for children being treated for critical illnesses in the Dallas area. In just 2018, RMHD hosted over 1,400 families, and The Trains at NorthPark has helped raise more than $13 million for RMHD since its launch. The goal is to raise even more money this year to serve an additional 50 percent more families.
So know that when you visit, you are doing good in our community. You can learn more here about this exhibit.
The Trains at NorthPark is the largest miniature train exhibit in Texas and it is quite impressive. With 1,600-foot of tracks, it features incredible cityscapes like Dallas, New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco set among other highlights like New England’s fall foliage, the Grand Canyon, and Route 66. Be on the lookout for hidden characters and scenes too!

Crayola Experience at Plano
Giveaway Item: 10 Winners (each winner will receive 2 admission tickets) – 20 Tickets we are giving away!
Note: These tickets can be used during either the Handmade Holidays or New Year’s Eve events this month.
Crayola Experience is a must anytime of year, but the holidays are extra special. My love for Crayola Experience all started with a little trip to the original Crayola Factory when my daughter was younger. Thank goodness we don’t have to go far at all to experience all the fun now that there’s one right here in the Dallas area. Yes, you can find this family fun spot right in Plano at Willow Bend Mall.
Crayola Experience’s Handmade Holidays have begun this season and families can enjoy making holiday crafts in addition to all the usual hands-on activities (one regular favorite of mine is making your own crayon with personalized name). Kids and adults will enjoy creating an ornament and crafting a handmade gift box just this holiday season.
You can learn more here and a heads up that now through December 6th, you can find discounted admission tickets 50% off!
