Congratulations goes to:
#31 The Angel Forever
I’ve been to Walt Disney World as an adult with my husband, and I’ve even been with a 1 year old barely walking, but when I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Mom’s Celebration I knew things would be different. I would be bringing my 2 1/2 year old daughter with me.
I’m a planner. I admit to spending hours and hours researching all things Disney before every trip. I know some great things…..Free Disney Souvenirs, the best fireworks viewing spots (without having to pay theme park admission), how to wake up Tinkerbell at the Magic Kingdom and more. Friends and family call me to help them plan their trips. BUT…….I had a few new questions that I didn’t know the answers too. Travelling to WDW with a 2 1/2 year old would be different. Thankfully, Lisa Battista had authored a book just for those of us heading to the most magical place…..with a preschooler.
Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers (2010) is a must have for anyone travelling with 2-5 year olds. It will save a lot of headache and time spent researching, even if you’ve been there before. It answered questions I had about:
- Bed Rails at the Disney Resorts
- Smaller, Child-Friendly Toilets
- Height Restrictions on Rides
- …..and so much more
While it always helps to be flexible with preschoolers, especially when changing up their routines on vacation, Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers (2010) will help parents prepare and plan for the expected (and the unexpected too).
I recall visiting Walt Disney World for the very first time. I was celebrating my first anniversary with my husband. I vividly recall a conversation we had as we watched parents with infants and preschoolers throughout the parks. We said “No Way”. We swore we wouldn’t bring kids to WDW (as much as we loved it) until they were old enough to walk all by themselves all day long. I laugh at it now. I’ve changed many diapers, nursed, and carried my daughter oh so many times at Disney World……and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
For each family it might be different, but there’s such a sense of wonder and magic at the preschool age. It may just be the perfect age to take a child to Walt Disney World for the very first time…..and Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers (2010) will help make it that much more magical!

I think we are going to go this fall with my sister’s family. We are both big planners and have preschoolers. This book sounds great!
I would love to win this book! We traveled to Disney World with our then 3 yr old last May. As first timers, and as a maniac planner, it was VERY overwhelming. As much as I tried to research and plan ahead of time, I really don’t feel like we got the most out of our four days. We are heading back this May. I would love to have this book to make the most of our family’s vacation! Thanks for all your wonderful posts Frugal Friend. 🙂
we would love to go to Disney and are starting to save up for it

I’d love to win so that we can have some help planning a trip to Disney World with our 2 year old daughter. Thanks for the chance!
I have 2 daughters (ages 3 & 5) and would like to share my love of Disney with them. I took my 5 year-old to WDW recently for her birthday. She enjoyed it, but was deathly afraid of the customed characters. I would enjoy reading the book, so that I can regularly take both my children to WDW and have them enjoy it everytime.
would love to win because my parents live in orlando and we are only 2 hours away and we visit all the time….would be perfect for us to use all the time
WDW is a rite of passage in every big and little kid’s life. I would love to have this book to help me plan my three year old daughter’s first trip.
