I remember the week my mom was to begin chemotherapy.
She was going to be okay.
It was caught early.
The cancer was gone.
This was just precautionary.
But it was still scary………for all of us. We didn’t know then just how scary it would become.
I remember the week my mom was to begin chemotherapy.
Night after night I worked hard.
Then, I handed her a gift……this was the first page.
I have that gift with me now.
Little did I know that I would need that gift now as much as she did then.

Thank you for this.
I’m going to send this to my aunt…I know that this will help her through some of her toughest moments.
I am so sorry that you lost your mother. My heart goes out to you.
Love this! How beautiful
Thank you SO much for sharing this beautiful poem, I absolutely LOVE it! Every single word is so true!!! A lot of beautiful women in my life have been hit with this HORRIBLE disease and some of those women even lost the battle! It’s very hard losing a LOVED one to this horrific disease, but know that you’re not alone!

Thank you for sharing. It is beautiful. I hope you share more. I would love to give a copy of this to my friend who lost her mother to cancer. Is that okay?
The author is unknown for this special poem……anyone is free to use it. I know it’s brought me so much comfort.
Oh Debra, that gift to your mother brought tears to my eyes. I will be heading over to Team A Frugal Friend now to donate in honor of my aunt that was diagnosed days before my oldest was born.
