With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wondered what my daughter thought it was all about. Now that she’s 3, we’ve learned more about each and every holiday. Valentine’s Day…..well, she guessed it was about “heart decorations”. Yes, we might spend some time in the aisles at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. 🙂
But then I pushed further…….I asked her what LOVE meant?
In the cutest 3-year old way, she just looked at me, thought a moment, then shrugged her shoulders.
She says I love you all the time. She knows Mommy and Daddy love her the most. But, she had a hard time defining the word. (Oh, it’s not just kiddos, some adults have a hard time defining it too.) 🙂
She just knows what love looks like.
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Even as a child, I remember my mom always giving us a little something special. I’ll continue that tradition with my daughter. Of course it all starts with Valentine’s cards……….
